Holly Mills is a senior associate in the Insurance & Reinsurance practice of the London office. She joined Mayer Brown as a trainee in 2007 and, since qualifying in September 2009, Holly has handled a number of contentious and non-contentious insurance matters. She is experienced in advising insurers in relation to policy coverage issues, as well as assisting insurers and policyholders in relation to the defence of third party claims.
Product Liability: advising insurers in relation to coverage of third party product liability claims. Her experience includes advising insurers in connection with the defence and settlement of claims in respect of allegedly contaminated fuel oil and sunflower seed oil.
Professional Indemnity: advising insurers on coverage issues and monitoring the defence of claims by third parties against a range of professionals including insurance brokers, trustees, accountants and licensed conveyancers, both in the United Kingdom and off-shore.
Directors’ & Officers’ Liability: advising insurers in connection with D&O policy coverage issues and monitoring the defence of claims by third parties against policyholders.
Financial Institutions: advising insurers on the coverage aspects of claims brought against financial institutions, notably in connection with claims arising from KIKO contracts in Korea and the Madoff fraud.
Non-contentious experience: assisting insurers on policy reviews and drafting policy wordings, including Solicitors’ Professional Indemnity, Public and Property Liability, Public and Product Liability, and Investment Manager, Investment Fund and D&O.
