Harry Hyunho Park is counsel in Mayer Brown's Washington DC office and a member of the Intellectual Property practice. He is an experienced patent lawyer whose practice focuses on litigating intellectual property matters in district courts throughout the United States, and unfair import actions arising under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 before the US International Trade Commission. He also focuses on intellectual property counseling, including review of patent portfolios, freedom-to-operate analysis, and pre-litigation diligence.
Harry drafts patentability opinions relating to various types of electrical and mechanical devices and systems. He also drafts and prosecutes numerous patent applications relating to various technologies, including automobile technology, semiconductor, wireless telecommunications, computer software, display devices, mobile communication devices, navigation systems, and medical devices.
Harry relies on his patent litigation experience and familiarity with USPTO procedures to develop strategies for his patent litigation clients. Harry has successfully represented both patent holders and patent challengers in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). His IPR experience includes counseling and filing of petitions; working with experts and directing preparation of evidence; factual investigations and discovery; discovery motions and pre-hearing conferences before the PTAB, and pre-hearing preparation and oral hearings at the PTAB.
