David McKellar is a consultant of Mayer Brown JSM. David has been involved in litigation in Hong Kong for over 20 years, including general commercial, professional indemnity, securities, employment and construction litigation, and personal and corporate insolvency.
David has also acted as a provisional liquidator appointed by the Official Receiver; was a founding member of the Hong Kong Environmental Law Association; and has worked variously as a research assistant, tutor and lecturer for The University of Hong Kong, City University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Monash University of Australia.
In 2002, David became a professional support lawyer, focusing on dispute resolution, construction, intellectual property, insurance, employment and insolvency, management of the Firm's knowledge systems and risk management.
David became Claims Counsel of Mayer Brown JSM in 2010, overseeing the firms professional indemnity matters, insurance programme, loss prevention and risk issues; providing consultancy advice in the areas of conflicts, business intake; and undertaking general in-house legal work for the firm.
