Daniel Gallagher is a senior associate in the London office of Mayer Brown’s intellectual property practice.
He has a wide range of experience advising on non-contentious and contentious intellectual property matters dealing with all forms of intellectual property rights. His non-contentious experience includes advising on licences, development agreements, marketing and brands, cloud services, as well as other complex global technology and business process transactions and the intellectual property and technology aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and financings. His contentious experience includes the protection of confidential information, copyright, design and trade mark rights, and the settlement of ownership and licensing disputes. He also advises on data privacy and security issues.
Daniel has significant in-house legal experience. From 2014 to 2015 he spent just under a year in Canary Wharf as part of the intellectual property, technology and commercial legal team of a global financial services institution. Prior to that, Daniel spent six months on secondment at multinational music publishing company, EMI Music Publishing, shortly before its acquisition by Sony/ATV.
