Cecilia Roth advises corporate clients regarding all aspects of ERISA, employee benefit plans and executive compensation. She represents plan sponsors of various sizes and organizational structures in administrative and compliance matters with the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. She also advises clients with respect to employee benefit plans in corporate transactions and lending transactions.
Cecilia designs and drafts tax-qualified pension and profit-sharing plans, nonqualified retirement plans and equity plans. In addition, she advises plan sponsors regarding administration of and fiduciary responsibilities under tax-qualified pension and profit-sharing plans and welfare plans.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 1995, Cecilia worked with several other prominent Chicago law offices. From 1984 to 1985, she held an appointment as Bigelow Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School.
