Abby Bartine is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. She practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, internal investigations, and white collar crime and compliance. She is also active in the firm’s pro bono program.

Abby's civil practice focuses on complex commercial and regulatory matters, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), securities, accountants’ liability, and environmental claims.  Across her practice, Abby has experience in all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, handling extensive discovery, and working with expert witnesses.

In her investigations and white collar crime and compliance practice, Abby represents companies and individuals in civil and criminal investigations, including investigations involving the federal securities laws, health care, and the False Claims Act. Furthermore, while on secondment with a major international financial institution, she gained broad experience in the development, implementation, evaluation, and growth of a global anti-corruption compliance program.

Abby joined Mayer Brown in 2013. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with highest distinction and Order of the Coif. She was also a member and contributing editor of the Iowa Law Review. Prior to law school, Abby served as an aide in the United States Senate from 2008-2010.
