Dr. Thomas Delille is an associate in the Brussels office of Mayer Brown’s International Trade and Government Relations & Public Law practices. He focuses on EU regulatory matters. He advises companies, consortiums and trade associations on a wide range of EU regulatory issues including REACH, the Nagoya Protocol to the UN Convention on Biodiversity, CLP, biocides, product safety, transportation of dangerous goods and waste management (Packaging Waste, RoHS and WEEE). He is also involved in cases before the European Court of Justice and ECHA Board of Appeal.

Thomas has extensive experience in the field of EU administrative law and a good understanding of complex decision-making processes within EU institutions and agencies. He wrote his doctoral thesis on Impact Assessment in the EU, with the title : “L’Analyse d’impact en droit de l’Union européenne” (Larcier, 2013).

Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2014, he worked as a research associate at the Centre of European Law of the University of Luxembourg and gained experience at the European Court of Justice and in the competition law team of a leading French firm. In addition to his PhD in Law from the University of Luxembourg, Thomas also holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK) and achieved his initial legal education in France, at the universities of Strasbourg and Lyon.

Thomas is fluent in English in addition to his native French, and he has working knowledge of German.
