Scott Davis joined Mayer Brown in 1977 and became a partner in 1983. He was formerly the firm's US head of mergers and acquisitions and a practice leader for the firm's Corporate & Securities practice. His present role at Mayer Brown is primarily to do internal, non-client work, including supervising the training of a number of US associates in corporate and securities matters.
Scott will leave Mayer Brown toward the end of July, 2016 and become a Professor from Practice at the University of Chicago Law School in August, 2016. He has previously been a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a member of the Chicago Police Board.
Scott joined Mayer Brown after serving as a law clerk to The Honorable Luther M. Swygert of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
