Overview

Rachel Smith is counsel in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. Her practice focuses on government and global infrastructure, public finance, project development and construction, general governmental and corporate counseling and representation.

Rachel counsels public and private parties in connection with government transactions and development and construction projects. She advises owners, developers, lenders and contractors regarding complex transactions, including public-private partnership projects in the infrastructure sector.

Rachel additionally represents clients in financing of public and private projects, including through the issuance of municipal bonds and project finance and other financing arrangements.

Rachel also has experience representing buyers and sellers in connection with domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and related transactions. Additionally, she has advised clients on a range of corporate governance issues.
