Kenneth Tan is an associate in the Singapore office of Mayer Brown 's international arbitration practice. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, he was a member of the international arbitration practice group of a leading global law firm. Kenneth has substantial experience as counsel, having acted in numerous high-value, cross-border disputes for and against Asian parties in both litigations and arbitrations. Kenneth's arbitration experience encompasses a range of subject matter that include corporate disputes, joint venture disputes, international supply disputes, construction disputes as well as banking and finance disputes. It also spans a number of sectors, such as the agricultural, manufacturing, energy, life sciences, and financial services industries. Kenneth has experience of the world's leading arbitration rules, including the UNCITRAL rules and the arbitration rules of the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC and LCIA. Kenneth was also previously legal assistant to one of Asia's leading senior arbitrators. As such, Kenneth has assisted arbitral tribunals in various high value international commercial arbitrations governed by a wide range of substantive and procedural laws.

While pursuing his LL.B., Kenneth represented Singapore Management University in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2013, winning the Singapore National Rounds and emerging 1st runner up at the Washington D.C. international championship rounds. Kenneth has also published on international commercial arbitration and is amongst the pioneer batch of HKIAC-accredited tribunal secretaries.
