Aylla Assis is an associate in the Antitrust & Competition practice of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in the São Paulo office. Aylla has represented clients in high profile cartel investigations conducted by the Brazilian Competition Authorities. She has also assisted worldwide corporations and Brazilian companies with merger control cases, compliance programs and internal investigations involving competition matters.

Aylla's experience focuses on cartel investigations, merger review and compliance advice and training. In the last 10 years, she has represented clients in high profile cartel investigations conducted by the Brazilian Competition Authorities. She has also represented worldwide corporations and Brazilian companies with merger control cases in a variety of industries.

Aylla has assisted clients to assess, manage and reduce antitrust risks when implementing compliance programs and conducting internal investigations. Recently she handled antitrust discovery efficiently and successfully for a Japanese corporation, managing a large team of attorneys conducting document review and fact development submitted to competition authorities.

Aylla is currently on secondment to the Antitrust & Competition practice of Mayer Brown in the London office.
