He is a fluent Arabic speaker and has advised on projects in many countries in the region, including United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Raid regularly speaks at seminars and international conferences on the resolution of project disputes in the Middle East and the issues which arise under local laws.
Raid Abu-Manneh said: “Mayer Brown’s leading construction and engineering group attracted me to the firm and I am very much looking forward to joining and helping in the development of the practice. Mayer Brown’s commitment to growth in London and internationally make this a very exciting time to be with the firm.”
Michael Regan, Head of Mayer Brown's Construction & Engineering Group in London, commented: “The addition of Raid to our team will strengthen our already formidable construction and engineering capabilities, and help us further develop from our existing platform. He will further strengthen our position as one of the leading groups of its type in the world which is confirmed by our involvement in major infrastructure projects like the Panama Canal Expansion programme and numerous other high-profile projects in the UK and, increasingly, overseas.”
