International law firm Mayer Brown today announced it will offer Illinois legislative services to its clients through an alliance with two former Chicago office partners.
The firm has entered into an alliance with lawyers Mark Taylor and Rob Uhe to provide government relations services to corporate clients who seek to be heard on issues before the Illinois General Assembly. Taylor and Uhe recently formed a new governmental affairs firm, Taylor Uhe LLC.
Under terms of the alliance, Mayer Brown will refer corporate clients needing government relations services to Taylor Uhe. Similarly, Taylor Uhe will refer its legislative clients needing corporate legal services to Mayer Brown.
Mayer Brown continues to serve clients through government practices in its Chicago, Washington, Los Angeles and Brussels offices. The firm's government practice includes legislative services, public finance, procurement and government law.
Mayer Brown Chairman James D. Holzhauer commented, "Mark has brought distinction to Mayer Brown through the skill, integrity and temperament with which he conducts the practice of government affairs in the often turbulent world of Springfield politics. We look forward to continuing to work with Mark and Rob as client needs dictate."
Said Mark Taylor, "An alliance relationship is one that makes great sense for all concerned, and Rob and I are eager to undertake it. We will continue to apply our years of experience in Springfield on behalf of Mayer Brown's clients, as well as other clients of the new Taylor Uhe."
The alliance was effective October 1.
