Mayer Brown expands its Public-Private Partnership practice in Paris

3 February 2009 - Leading international law firm Mayer Brown has appointed Anoly Saypharath to its Public-Private Partnership practice in Paris.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Anoly Saypharath was a senior assistant in the public law department of Denton Wilde Sapte in Paris. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1999, followed by SG Archibald-Arthur Andersen International and Salans.

She advises contractors, financial institutions and public agencies in connection with public procurement contracts, public-private partnerships and transactions involving public infrastructures.  She has developed a particular focus on the new procurement contract in the defence sector, having advised contractors on major projects in this field. She also specialises in the pharmaceutical industry and in telecommunication regulation.

Headed by partner Matthieu de Varax, Mayer Brown's Public-Private Partnership practice in Paris advised the winning consortium on the first public-private partnership ever awarded by the French ministry of defence, in connection with the training of helicopter pilots at the Dax air field. Mayer Brown advises contractors, financial institutions and State bodies on all legal and tax aspects of public infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships. The Public-Private Partnership practice is part of Mayer Brown's international project finance group, which advised on award wining projects in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
