Mayer Brown earns 46 first-tier rankings in list of “Best Law Firms” by US News and Best Lawyers

15 September 2010
Mayer Brown

15 September, 2010 – Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, achieved first-tier rankings in 46 national and city categories, including 11 national first-tier rankings, in the inaugural edition of the Best Law Firms rankings by US News Media Group and Best Lawyers.  The firm scored 98 total national and city rankings.

The Best Law Firm analysis ranks 8,782 US law firms in 81 major practice areas. A primary determinant of the rankings were evaluations of law firms by nearly 10,000 clients, including every Fortune 100 company and more than half of the Fortune 1000. Clients voted on firms’ expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility and whether they would refer another client to a firm.  The national first-tier rankings for all firms will be published in the October print issue of US News & World Report. The full rankings are posted online at www.usnews.com/bestlawfirms.

“We are gratified by our excellent results in the Best Law Firms rankings because they reflect a high degree of client satisfaction with the legal services our lawyers deliver across a broad range of practice areas and geographies,” said Mayer Brown Chairman Bert W. Krueger.
