Mayer Brown Business & Technology Sourcing Practice Honored

16 February 2009

Mayer Brown LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that its Business & Technology Sourcing Practice has been honored for its outstanding work by two outside organizations.

At the 2009 Outsourcing World Summit on February 16, the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals™ (IAOP™) announced that Mayer Brown was selected to The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors list for The Global Outsourcing 100™.

The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors recognize the world's best outsourcing service providers and advisors. These rankings are based on applications received and evaluated by an independent judge's panel.  The 2009 judge's panel is chaired by Jagdish Dalal, Certified Outsourcing Professional™ , a senior executive who has worked extensively in the field of outsourcing at major U.S. corporations

“At a time when companies that outsource are scrutinizing their suppliers more closely than ever to ensure they are delivering the high quality, value-added results being sought by their customers, The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors have become even more valuable reference tools for companies seeking to work with the best providers and advisors,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett.

In addition to the honor from IAOP™, HRO Today magazine named Mayer Brown to its annual Leading Legal Eagles list.  This feature section appeared in the publication’s December 2008 issue.

In its write-up about Mayer Brown, the publication noted why Mayer Brown is important to HRO, “Many of its lawyers have worked either as inside counsel for outsourcing providers or in business roles for leading outsourcing and technology companies. Its internationally recognized lawyers represent customers in a broad range of onshore, near-shore and off-shore information technology and business process outsourcing transactions.”
