Mayer Brown advises Scott Wilson Group on recommended cash offer by URS Corporation

28 June 2010 – Leading international law firm Mayer Brown has advised longstanding client Scott Wilson Group plc in connection with the recommended cash offer for Scott Wilson announced by URS Corporation this morning. The offer of 210p per share values Scott Wilson at approximately £161m and is to be effected by way of scheme of arrangement.

Scott Wilson is a global integrated design and engineering firm headquartered in the UK. URS is a leading international provider of integrated engineering, construction and technical services.

The Mayer Brown team was lead by Corporate partners Richard Page and Kate Ball-Dodd, supported by Tim Knowland, Louise Barber, Adam Meisels and Jenny Panchaud. The Corporate team was also assisted by Tax partners Andrew Stanger and Peter Steiner; Competition partner Gillian Sproul, Competition associate Stephen Smith and Patrick Horan; and Pensions partner Martin Scott and employed barrister Jennifer McGrandle.
