Mayer Brown advises Caterpillar subsidiary in rail industry acquisition

Chicago, 2 June, 2010 – Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, is advising Progress Rail Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar, in its purchase of Electro-Motive Diesel from Berkshire Partners LLC and Greenbriar Equity Group LLC for $820 million in cash.
