Mayer Brown strengthens London Corporate group with A&O hire

London - Leading global law firm Mayer Brown announced the hire of Bernd Bohr to the Corporate & Securities practice. Bernd joins today as a partner from the New York office of Allen & Overy. He is relocating to London to help support the expansion of Mayer Brown's US M&A and Capital Markets practice in Europe.

Bernd's practice focuses on SEC-registered securities offerings as well as public and private M&A transactions, but his experience covers a broad range of corporate and capital markets transactions in the US, Europe and Asia as well as providing ongoing advice on securities laws, corporate governance and stock exchange requirements.

A significant part of his practice involves cross-border transactions and he has advised clients from a broad range of industries in Abu Dhabi, Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the US.

Before joining Mayer Brown, Bernd worked for Allen & Overy in New York, London, Switzerland and Hong Kong and was previously at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York. In addition to New York, he is admitted to practice law in England & Wales and Germany.
