Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, announced today that Archis A. Parasharami, a partner in the firm’s Washington, DC Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, was selected to The National Law Journal’s “Minority 40 Under 40,” which honors diverse attorneys who have wielded national influence in their practice areas.

The article announcing the winners highlighted Mr. Parasharami’s work defending businesses against class action lawsuits, including Mayer Brown’s Supreme Court win for client AT&T Mobility in AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion, which he  characterized as the “signal achievement" of his eight years with Mayer Brown. The article also recognized his contributions to the “development of class action law through briefs submitted in other key Supreme Court cases.”

Mr. Parasharami is co-leader of Mayer Brown’s Consumer Litigation & Class Actions group and a member of the firm’s Supreme Court & Appellate practice. He defends businesses in class action litigation in federal and state courts around the country; works with businesses to draft arbitration agreements and litigates enforceability of those agreements; and advises and represents clients on legislative matters.

Mr. Parasharami is a member of the firm’s Committee on Diversity and Inclusion. He joined Mayer Brown in 2003 after clerking for Judge Leonard I. Garth of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  A summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University, he received a JD degree cum laude from Harvard Law School.
