1 September 2008 - Leading international law firm Mayer Brown announced today that it has been appointed to ACE European Group’s first-ever non-claims legal panel following a competitive tender process.

Mayer Brown is one of five firms to be appointed to the panel. The appointment builds upon Mayer Brown’s longstanding relationship with parent company ACE and reflects Mayer Brown’s commitment to the global insurance and reinsurance industry.

Mayer Brown’s Insurance & Reinsurance industry group provides a full complement of (re)insurance-related services on both the non-contentious and contentious side, encompassing finance, restructuring & run-off, M&A and corporate advisory work through to contentious work in all product areas in commercial (re)insurance.

Sean Connolly, London Senior Partner at Mayer Brown, said:
“Our appointment to this panel is an excellent opportunity to add further value to our existing client and demonstrates the ability of our lawyers to provide cross-practice advice and support to leading participants in the European insurance industry.  We look forward to working with ACE European Group in achieving its business objectives.”

Kenneth Underhill, General Counsel, ACE European Group said:
“I am very much looking forward to working with all the Panel firms and building a really successful Panel. No doubt, Mayer Brown's existing relationship with us and experience will help this process.”
