Mayer Brown advising software company SPSS in proposed $1.2 billion acquisition by IBM

Mayer Brown LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that it is advising client SPSS regarding a proposed acquisition of the company by IBM for approximately $1.2 billion. The acquisition is subject to SPSS shareholder approval, applicable regulatory clearances and other customary closing conditions. It is expected to close later in the second half of 2009.
