Mayer Brown strengthens German notarial practice with Elmar Günther

8 July 2014

In the course of his appointment as civil law notary in Frankfurt am Main, Elmar Günther was appointed Of Counsel of the German Real Estate practice as of 1 July 2014. As a lawyer, he advises domestic and foreign institutional investors and banks on real estate investments as well as in relation to ongoing asset management. He primarily focuses on property acquisition law and real estate law, on commercial lease law as well as on public building and planning law.

Elmar now strengthens the existing notarial practice of Mayer Brown as third civil law notary besides Dr. Jörg Michael Lang and Dr. Hans Hofmann.

“We are very pleased that our long-time colleague Elmar Günther was appointed as civil law notary. Elmar’s appointment further strengthens our notary practice, which has a strategic relevance for Mayer Brown in Germany. With now three civil law notaries in different generations, we are well positioned for the future,” says Dr. Jörg Lang, co-head of the German Real Estate practice and a civil law notary himself.
