Mayer Brown partner Michael Regan receives Hudson Prize
12 February 2015
London - London Construction & Engineering head, Michael Regan, has been awarded the prestigious first place Hudson Prize for 2014 by The Society of Construction Law (SCL).
Michael's paper, titled “Thorman revisited”, is a critical reappraisal of the Court of Appeal’s decision in Thorman v New Hampshire and the difficulties of determining the number of claims which are made for the purposes of professional indemnity cover in a construction setting.
The Prize, which is open to entrants around the world, aims to recognise the best essay on a construction law topic. Entries are judged on their originality, contribution to the study or practice of construction law and its application by a panel of lawyers and non-lawyers from a range of backgrounds.
