Mayer Brown JSM advises the sole sponsor and underwriters on the US$302 million Shanghai Haohai Biological Technology global IPO in Hong Kong

Mayer Brown JSM has advised UBS Securities Hong Kong Limited as the sole sponsor, UBS AG Hong Kong Branch, CMB International Capital Limited and CCB International Capital Limited as underwriters on the US$302 million global offering and listing of Shanghai Haohai Biological Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Haohai) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Based in Shanghai and founded in 2007, Shanghai Haohai is a leading company in China focusing on the research and development, manufacturing and sales of absorbable biomedical materials. According to its prospectus, proceeds will be used to pay for new production lines, acquisitions of other biopharmaceutical companies and new production equipment.

"This is the fourth IPO Mayer Brown JSM has advised on in the past six months in Hong Kong. It once again demonstrates our leadership position advising sponsors and underwriters on IPO listings.” said James Fong, a partner of Mayer Brown JSM who co-led the transaction with partner Jason T. Elder in Hong Kong.

Other team members included counsel Guoqing Li and Registered Foreign Lawyer (CA, USA) Ashley Chow.

Mayer Brown JSM has earlier advised Cinda International Capital Limited as the sole sponsor, sole global coordinator and sole bookrunner on the Time2U global IPO as well as BOCI Asia as the sole sponsor, sole global coordinator, sole bookrunner and sole lead manager on the Asiaray global offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It also advised the EGL Holdings Company Limited listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
