Mayer Brown continues expansion of Real Estate group with appointment of Patricia Jones

London - Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, is delighted to announce that partner, Patricia (Pat) Jones, has joined its Real Estate group in London.
Pat is a highly-experienced development and joint venture specialist. She was formerly a partner at SJ Berwin, where she had worked for 10 years. Pat has advised both domestic and international clients from the real estate and retail sectors on complex structured development, investment and joint ventures. Most recently, she acted for British Land on the redevelopment of the Shoreditch Estate in E1.
Pat's appointment is the latest in a number of strategic hires that have been made to further strengthen Mayer Brown's investment and real estate offering in London, including investment and development specialist, Martin Wright, who joined in January; head of real estate investment, Chris Harvey who joined in April 2012 and funds specialist, Jeremy Kenley, who joined the firm last April.
Mayer Brown's Real Estate team in London has advised on a string of high profile investment and development deals in recent months, including the purchase of the Lloyd's building for £260 million by an overseas investor; the Silvertown Partnership's £1.5 billion redevelopment of the Silvertown Quays in the docklands and the purchase of Old Spitalfield's market.
