Mayer Brown advises CIT Group on the acquisition of Finsbury Tower

London - Mayer Brown has advised CIT Group, a private equity investor, on the acquisition of the Finsbury Tower building in London for £106 million.

The 153,000 sq ft office building, purchased from Hermes Investment Management, borders the City of London and Shoreditch. The building was designed by Richard Seifert in the 1960’s and comprises 15 floors.

Chris Harvey, Real Estate partner at Mayer Brown, said: “Finsbury Tower’s proximity to Silicon Roundabout, near Old Street will appeal to a wide variety of businesses who want to base themselves at the heart of tech city. It’s a great development opportunity and we are delighted to have successfully acted on our first transaction for CIT.”
