Mayer Brown advises AEW Europe on acquisition of 65-68 Leadenhall Street, London

London - International law firm Mayer Brown has advised AEW Europe, a leading European real estate investment manager, on the acquisition of 65-68 Leadenhall Street in London on behalf of its Europe Value Investors Fund (EVI).

The 31,000 sq ft office building in the City of London was acquired from Brookfield Asset Management Inc, the global alternative asset management company.

Mayer Brown Real Estate partner Chris Harvey, said: "We are delighted to continue to advise AEW Europe as they grow their high quality real estate investment portfolio in London."

The Mayer Brown team was led by Chris Harvey and included Real Estate associate Gareth Shackleton, Corporate & Securities senior associate Dominic Palmer and associate Oliver Lyons, and Tax Transactions & Consulting senior associate Simon Slade and associate Kitty Swanson.

This is the second transaction on which Mayer Brown has advised AEW Europe this year. A team led by Chris Harvey advised AEW Europe on its acquisition of 24-28 Martin Lane in London, which was announced in May 2015.
