Young Kyoung (Claire) Kim

Prior to attending law school, Claire was a biomedical engineer at a medical device company assisting in the development of a new dental bone graft with collagen. She also helped obtain and maintain the CE marks of Class III medical devices. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Claire spent her first summer in law school as an IP intern focusing on patent prosecution at a company specializing in high performance coatings.

Claire has research experience in Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulation of lipid molecules, and bioinformatics. She was first introduced to patent law as a co-inventor of a patented medical device.

Claire volunteers as an organizer of Industry Meetup Program for Advancing Career and Technical Skills (“IMPATCs”) with Korean American Scientists and Association (KSEA).
