Share

Frankfurt am Main - Mayer Brown advises Fritz Winter Eisengiesserei GmbH & Co. KG, a German automotive supplier, on the refinancing of an existing syndicated loan. The transaction volume amounts to around EUR 300 million and includes a revolving credit facility, bilateral credit facilities and refinancing of existing debt.

The Fritz Winter iron foundry in Stadtallendorf, Germany has been developing and producing raw and finished components as well as complex system components, including lightweight components, for more than 70 years. Its customers are the leading OEMs in the global automotive, commercial vehicle and hydraulics industries. Over 3,000 employees at four locations in Europe, the USA and China generate an annual turnover of almost one billion euros. The iron foundry relies entirely on recycled materials in its production and has invested around 220 million euros over the past six years.

The funds from the refinancing will be used to launch the largest investment program of the automotive supplier to date.

Our lawyers, Dr. Marco Wilhelm (Partner), Odilo Wallner (Counsel) and Max Birk (Associate) worked closely and trustfully with Jörg Müller, CFO of Fritz Winter Eisengiesserei, and Falkensteg Debt Advisory on the refinancing.
