Ms. Stern was recognized by NLJ for her innovative approach to mobilizing Mayer Brown’s COVID-19 Global Response Team and utilizing her leadership skills to coordinate more than 100 lawyers across four continents. As a co-leader of the response team, she also spearheaded the development of the firm’s COVID-19 support platform to help clients navigate the changing legal landscape. The platform includes a web portal, blog, Global Traveler Navigator tool and several first-of-their-kind tools, including the Back to Business Navigator and the Global Stimulus Navigator.

According to Ms. Stern, the response team focused on helping clients manage the emerging and challenging issues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, including providing guidance to travel restrictions. “We had to keep clients informed on very rapid changes in global travel. Guidelines were unclear, so we needed to make it easier for employers to navigate,” she told NLJ.
