Mayer Brown, a leading global law firm, received four top awards at the annual Americas Tax Awards sponsored by International Tax Review. The firm was honored in the following categories:
• Chicago Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year;
• Dallas/Houston Tax Firm of the Year;
• San Francisco Area Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year; and
• Americas Capital Markets Tax Deal of the Year—High yield issuance by Linea Amarilla.
“It’s a great honor to once again be recognized by our clients and peers as one of the leading global firms handling important and innovative tax matters,” said Joel V. Williamson, co-firmwide practice leader for Mayer Brown’s Tax Controversy practice.
The Americas Tax Awards recognize the most innovative tax transactional, structuring, litigation and transfer-pricing work done in North and South America. This year’s winners were chosen based on their work in the past 12 months, in addition to information obtained through interviews with a significant number of tax advisers, private-practice lawyers, tax executives and in-house counsel to gain their perspective on the ground-breaking work completed throughout the year.
Earlier in 2013, Mayer Brown was recognized for the seventh consecutive year by both Chambers USA and Legal 500 with top rankings for its Tax Controversy practice.
