Iacopo Zonca

Iacopo Zonca advises clients on EU chemicals and product compliance law, including those covering biocides, pesticides, food contact materials, batteries and packaging.

He has extensive litigation experience before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as before the Board of Appeal of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). He regularly represents clients before ECHA, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the European Commission and national competent authorities.

Iacopo's experience includes an in-house secondment with a major global chemicals manufacturer, giving him a practical understanding of industry's regulatory challenges.

He has extensive experience in:

• Legislation on chemicals and products, including REACH, CLP, the BPR, the Plant Protection Products Regulation, the Battery Regulation, the PPWR, the F-Gas Regulation, RoHS, the POPs Regulation, and food contact materials legislation
• Actions for annulment and applications for interim relief before the General Court, appeals before the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as appeals before the Board of Appeal of the European Chemicals Agency
• Representation before EU agencies (including ECHA and EFSA), EU institutions, and national competent authorities
