Jacob Reiskin advises clients on international trade matters, with a focus on trade remedies such as antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) cases before the US Department of Commerce (DOC) and the US International Trade Commission (ITC). Jacob also helps clients navigate safeguard, trade policy, customs, and other matters affecting the production and importation of goods. He regularly appears before the US Court of International Trade (CIT) and the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) to resolve trade disputes.

  • Represented US manufacturer to obtain import tariffs over 300% against Chinese producers of aluminum lithographic plates.
  • Defended US trade association and Chinese & Vietnamese manufacturers in AD, CVD, and safeguard matters involving the importation of solar cells and modules before the DOC, ITC, and federal courts.
  • Represented US activated carbon producers against Chinese producers in AD proceedings and litigation at the CIT and CAFC.
  • Represented a coalition of US aluminum foil importers in opposition to an anti-circumvention proceeding before the DOC.
  • Advised edible products manufacturer on country of origin marking and harmonized tariff schedule classification for products containing imported raw materials.
  • Represented Fortune 50 consumer products manufacturer in injury investigation before the ITC.
  • Represented Chinese aluminum producer before US Customs and Border Protection to achieve swift releases of shipments detained under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA).
