William Price is a senior associate in the Derivatives and Structured Products practice whose work spans the full range of derivatives, repos and structured products. He advises on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions across asset classes including equities, fixed income, credit and currencies, bringing a highly commercial approach to sophisticated legal challenges.

Clients turn to William for practical, business-focused advice throughout the transaction lifecycle. He regularly advises on OTC derivatives, prime brokerage arrangements, and repo and stock lending transactions, and has led the establishment and enhancement of structured products programmes for major international banks. His work also encompasses structured products issuances, hedging arrangements for structured finance transactions, and capital-efficient solutions including credit-linked notes, repackaging structures and significant risk transfer (SRT) transactions.

  • Advising a leading Turkish bank on multiple credit-linked note issuances under its secured note programme.
  • Advising a Guernsey protected cell company on its significant risk transfer transactions, including the preparation and negotiation of the cell documentation and related credit-linked note arrangements.
  • Advising a major investment bank on a funding agreement backed repo (FABR) transaction with a US insurance company, involving the structuring and documentation of the secured funding agreement, security arrangements and confirmation.
  • Advising a global asset manager on its investment in a significant risk transfer transaction referencing a portfolio of real estate loans, including the negotiation of the subscription agreement and terms and conditions.
