Daniel B. Pearson is an associate in Mayer Brown's Washington DC office and a member of the Financial Services Regulatory & Enforcement practice. Daniel counsels firm clients on compliance with state and federal consumer finance laws regulating mortgage finance, unsecured consumer lending, retail installment sales, commercial finance, and real estate brokerage, among other activities. He has over a decade of state licensing experience in these areas. Daniel provides regulatory advice to companies including bank and nonbank lenders, originators, brokers, servicers, loan purchasers, debt collectors, fintech companies and marketplace lenders. He also conducts regulatory due diligence reviews on consumer financial services providers on behalf of investors or financers, and assists clients in responding to litigation and government investigations and enforcement actions. Before and during law school, Daniel worked as a Regulatory Compliance Analyst in Mayer Brown’s Consumer Financial Services practice.
