Cameron McPheely joined Mayer Brown as a trainee in 2022 and qualified in 2024. In that time he has worked on disputes in multiple jurisdictions and has substantial experience in arbitration, and commercial and construction litigation.

Cameron’s experience is primarily in international disputes in various industries, in particular: construction, engineering, technology, corporate M&A, and financing transactions. He also has considerable experience in complex cross-border matters involving issues of jurisdiction and has worked on cases under major arbitration institutions, including: LCIA, ICC, SIAC and SCCA.

Expérience

  • Acted for an oil & gas company in a commercial arbitration (with a European seat) with respect to a dispute arising out of a share purchase agreement.
  • Represented a Pakistani State-owned entity in the power sector in a LCIA arbitration arising out of a power purchase agreement concerning a hydroelectric power plant in Pakistan.
  • Acting for a major shipbuilder in SIAC arbitration concerning multiple contentious issues arising out of the sale and purchase of several LNG vessels.
  • Acting for the contractor on multiple claims across NEOM projects, including drafting claims and advising on SCCA arbitration.
  • Acted for the EPC contractor on the design and construction of a major infrastructure project in Mecca, achieving resolution of multibillion dollar claims under Saudi law through an Independent Third Party Assessment procedure.
