Rachel Keeney

Rachel Keeney is counsel in Mayer Brown’s San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice. She advises private and institutional investors, owners, operators and developers on a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactions spanning diverse asset classes, including hotels, office, multifamily, senior housing/assisted living, industrial and retail. Rachel’s experience encompasses asset-level and entity-level acquisitions and dispositions, debt financing and joint venture arrangements — including preferred equity investments and recapitalizations. 

Represented:

• A global insurance provider in the $445M acquisition of REIT shares in multiple entities that indirectly owned multifamily properties located across the east coast. Transaction involved negotiating various joint venture agreements and an advisory agreement.*
• A global insurance provider in the acquisition of a hotel located in Salt Lake City, Utah, which included the negotiation of a hotel management agreement and franchise agreement.*
• A real estate investment firm in the acquisition and financing of an industrial project located in Billerica, Massachusetts, which included the negotiation of two joint venture agreements, property management agreements and sub-property management agreements.*
• A real estate investment management company in the disposition of a portfolio of six self-storage facilities located across the United States.*
• A global real estate investment firm in the acquisition and financing of a portfolio of nine industrial properties located in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.*
