Nikoleta Kyriazopoulou regularly advises businesses and trade associations on regulatory matters related to the European Union chemicals and environmental legislations, such as REACH, Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP), POPs, F-gases, ozone depletion, water and soil protection and management. She also has extensive experience in product regulations across various industries, including medical devices, food and food contact materials, plant protection products, biocides and cosmetics. Companies and trade associations also turn to Nikoleta for support in matters related to general product safety, sustainability and the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework. 

Nikoleta has deep knowledge of and significant experience in litigation before the European Court of Justice, mainly in cases concerning chemicals and plant protection products. She is also frequently involved in litigation cases before the Board of Appeal of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

  • Defended a chemicals company before the General Court of the EU against the harmonized classification of a substance.
  • Represented a multinational chemicals manufacturer in a plant protection products case before the General Court of the EU.
  • Regularly supports an international conglomerate on compliance with various chemicals and environmental legislations, including REACH restrictions, F-gases, water and soil management.
  • Advised a cosmetics company and trade associations on compliance with the European restriction on synthetic polymer microparticles.
