Dr. Burkhard Jäkel advises banks, sponsors, leasing companies, and other businesses on all aspects of banking and finance law, particularly in the areas of project and real estate financing, the restructuring of such financing, and the financing of high-value assets through leasing. He also represents banks and other companies in asserting their claims in insolvency proceedings.

Burkhard Jäkel joined Mayer Brown in 2026. Prior to that, he worked for a leading German law firm in Frankfurt am Main for almost thirty years.
