Lucy L. Holifield is a senior associate in Mayer Brown’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution group in Chicago. 

Lucy represents national and multinational clients across industries in complex litigation, internal investigations, and settlements and mediations. She assists clients in both individual and class actions involving products liability, banking and finance, and employment matters by managing expert and discovery teams, coaching and deposing parties and witnesses, and drafting discovery and dispositive motions. Her experience spans state, federal, and multidistrict proceedings and all stages of litigation, including appellate review. According to clients, “Lucy is detail-oriented and responsive.”

  • Wilkins et al. v. Simmons Bank, No. 3:20-cv-116 (E.D. Ark. July 14, 2023). Defeating class certification, winning summary judgment against named plaintiff, and entirely excluding plaintiffs’ expert in a putative class action alleging improper checking account fees
  • Pace et al. v. Landmark Bank, No. 2:21-cv-4119 (W.D. Mo. Jan. 11, 2022). Enforcing newly amended arbitration provisions; staying putative class action litigation; and securing favorable precedent by compelling arbitration based on plaintiff’s continued account use
  • Mercer Foods, LLC v. Hulme, et al., No. 2022-0155 (Del. Ch. 2022). Enjoining former sales executive from working for plaintiff’s competitor, soliciting plaintiff’s employees, or interfering or communicating with plaintiff’s customers for 12-month period following executive’s resignation before successfully settling all claims
