James B. Danford Jr. is an associate in Mayer Brown's Houston office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice.
James’ practice focuses on civil litigation in state and federal courts, mediation and arbitration. He represents clients throughout the energy, banking, insurance and other industries in a variety of matters, including class actions and commercial, regulatory, and complex financial disputes. James’ practice also includes a considerable commitment to pro bono matters. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, James worked for the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. His policy experience on Capitol Hill encompassed a wide range of sectors from energy and environment, to immigration, to research and technology.
James received his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center and his BA in Political Science from Texas Tech University.
