Youyou (Amelia) Cheng

Amelia (Youyou) Cheng is a senior associate in Mayer Brown’s London office and a member of the Capital Markets practice. Amelia has experience across a range of capital markets transactions, including advising on private placements and public offerings of debt and equity, covered bonds, equity-linked bonds, commercial paper and EMTN programmes.

Her practice focuses on cross-border private placements and represents issuers on private placements of securities to institutional investors. Clients called Amelia “excellent to work with,” according to The Legal 500 UK.

Amelia read law at The School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and graduated in 2013. She completed the LPC at the University of Law (Moorgate) in 2014. Amelia is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales. She advises clients from Europe, US and Asia and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
