Mayer Brown represented JPMorgan Chase, as lender, in a credit agreement with infrastructure investor, Actis, to finance a portion of its acquisition of a portfolio of three strategic highway concessions in Colombia. The credit agreement is part of the global transaction through which Actis, a leading investor in emerging markets in sustainable infrastructure, will acquire a portfolio of 416km of roads from Sacyr, an infrastructure operator and developer company.

The portfolio consists of three toll roads in Northern and Western Colombia for a total value of $1.6 billion. This acquisition, made through Actis’ Long Life Infrastructure Fund 2, marks the launch of Actis' first road concessions platform in Latin America.

The Mayer Brown team was led by New York Banking & Finance partner Juan Pablo Moreno and included New York-based associate Luis Schrader and foreign associate Maria Parga, and also involved London Banking & Finance partner Ashley McDermott, and London-based associates James England and Laura Taylor.
