Global Competition Review names Mayer Brown to its 2026 ‘Global Elite’ list

Mayer Brown has once again earned a spot among Global Competition Review’s (GCR) ‘Global Elite.’ Featured in the comprehensive GCR 100 guide, the 2026 ranking highlights the leading law firms practicing competition law worldwide. In addition, the firm was recognized as one of the top 10 firms for Illinois.

Globally, GCR recognized Mayer Brown for its exceptional cross-border work—from securing French clearance and coordinating multi-jurisdictional filings for FDJ United’s acquisition of Kindred, to achieving landmark victories for ITM/Les Mousquetaires and notable successes in Germany. On the US side, GCR heralded our representation of the AM/NS Calvert joint venture between Nippon Steel and ArcelorMittal, which factored into the Antitrust Division’s review of the Nippon/US Steel merger, as well as the group’s ongoing representation of Delta Dental in a sprawling multi-district litigation challenging alleged anticompetitive practices in the dental insurance marketplace.
