Matthew Moscon and Michael Menssen named among Utah Business Legal Elite 2025

SALT LAKE CITY – Mayer Brown partners Matt Moscon and Michael Menssen have been recognized among Utah Business’ 2025 “Legal Elite,” which honors leading lawyers in Utah who have made significant contributions in their respective legal fields. The award is limited to only 100 or fewer practitioners each year.

Utah Business recognized Matt and Michael “for their exceptional legal knowledge, ethical standards, and professional accomplishments, reaffirming their respect and reputation within the legal community." 

Matt, leader of the firm’s Salt Lake City office’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution team, works on many commercial disputes and has significant experience in ERISA litigation, technology and innovation disputes, and energy law.

Michael, a Litigation & Dispute Resolution partner, provides counsel on a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including class actions, ERISA, employment, breach of contract, trade secrets, appeals, and large-scale torts.

This recognition underscores the strength and impact of Mayer Brown’s Salt Lake City office, which was also recently named Pro Bono Publico Law Firm of the Year in Salt Lake City—further reflecting the office’s commitment to legal excellence, community service, and professional leadership.
