Mayer Brown partners Alan Grimaldi, Gary Hnath and Gabriela Kennedy have been named to IAM’s list of Global Leaders 2024. Alan and Gary were recognized in the “United States: DC Metro Area” category, while Gabriela was recognized in the “Hong Kong” category. The list highlights the world’s top private practice patent practitioners for their experience and expertise, but also for their ability to innovate, inspire, and deliver value for their clients.

Alan represents IP clients in a wide range of industries. Clients benefit from his extensive experience in both offensive and defensive patent and other intellectual property litigation, mediation and arbitration.

Gary focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling, including disputes involving patent, trademark and copyright infringement and trade secrets. He has participated in numerous District Court cases, several Federal Circuit appeals, and over 40 investigations at the International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930.

Gabriela leads Mayer Brown’s Asia IP and TMT group and co-leads its global Intellectual Property practice. She is also a member of the firm’s global Cybersecurity & Data Privacy and Technology & IP Transactions practices. Gabriela focuses her practice on intellectual property, media, information technology and telecommunications law. She handles the full spectrum of intellectual property work from litigation to licensing, strategic advice and portfolio management.

To qualify for inclusion in the IAM Global Leaders guide, lawyers must rank in the gold tier of the IAM Patent 1000, the market-leading annual directory that identifies the top law firms and individuals in the world’s most significant patent jurisdictions.
