Mayer Brown announced today that it achieved Mansfield Rule 4.0 Certification, following the completion of a year-long collaboration with Diversity Lab, an incubator for innovative ideas and solutions that boost diversity and inclusion in law.

This certification attests that Mayer Brown has demonstrated its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and for its meaningful progress on diversifying law firm leadership. The certification measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered at least 30 percent women, underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions.

“Diversity, equity and inclusion have always been moral imperatives at Mayer Brown,” said Jeremiah DeBerry, partner and director of Diversity & Inclusion at Mayer Brown. “This certification further highlights the firm’s ongoing commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that offers every member of our team the opportunity and support to succeed.”

The firm also signed on to achieve the inaugural Mansfield Rule UK Certification.
