IP & TMT partner Amita Haylock (Hong Kong) is quoted in an article published by INTA Daily News on the global efforts being made to stem the tide of counterfeit products. She noted that Hong Kong Customs is often less vigorous in enforcing actions related to trans-shipped goods, and that a more robust legal framework empowering customs to strengthen their enforcement powers and inspect goods in free trade zones and freeports would be helpful in combating the trans-shipment of counterfeits.
