Mayer Brown won the Finance Deal of the Year: Project Finance award at The Asian Lawyer’s Asia Legal Awards 2016, the first for the firm. The prize was awarded for the firm’s work on the financing of the US$830 million Panca Amara Utama ammonia plant in Indonesia, the first locally-sponsored private ammonia plant in the country.

This recognition further reaffirms Mayer Brown’s reputation as one of the predominant law firms for project finance in the Southeast Asian region.

Mayer Brown was also a finalist in the Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency & Restructuring and International Law Firm Leader of the Year categories.

Into its third year, the Asia Legal Awards is widely acknowledged as one of the region’s most prestigious in the legal industry. Awards given are in recognition and honour of the best legal work in Asia.
